As you would probably expect from a company that helps so many people preserve their own memories and treasured moments, our establishment was borne out of our founders own pursuit for photograph preservation and sharing.

Feeling homesick, a group of foreign postgraduates at the University of Edinburgh often liked to share pictures with their friends and family back home.

Although, given modern digital technology, new experiences and moments were easily shared; the memories that were held within older photographs, slides, and negatives, the reminiscences of before they left for University, could not be relived with friends and family back home.

They didn't have the time, expertise, or the equipment to scan these images and share them over the internet with their loved ones. Hence MemoBase was established.

With guidance and assistance from EPIS (Edinburgh Pre-Incubation Scheme), MemoBase has since flourished into the UKs most innovative, secure, and quality driven photo scanning business.
