Formerly Leo’s Salon, known now as Polynesian Clips is located in on Fish Hatchery Road in Fitchburg. Verna Carlson purchased the salon in 2004 after managing the salon for several years prior to that time. Verna is asked often how the name came about and the answer is simple, “I love Hawaii and we stayed at a place called Polynesian Shores, so I decided to call it Polynesian Clips“, say’s Verna. The salon has 7 full and part-time stylists and one that speaks Spanish and English. They are a full-service salon that works with families of ages ranging from 3 to 102! Verna says, “We love our clients! They are like family. The plan was never to grow to become a big salon, but rather remain true to our core belief that service is #1. We are the neighborhood salon.”
