My name is John C, I started gardening with my wife, Joanne, who has since passed on due pancreatic cancer, when we built our home in in 1977 and it was an empty lot, there were only a few trees that had been here that created a natural tree line. We used this natural tree line as the back drop of our back gardens going the full length of the land in the bank. Not knowing much about gardening we planted perennials and annuals that didn’t necessarily compliment each other. So we continued to the front of the house where we had a natural cedar tree on the left side of our house and planted more perennials and annuals not realizing the acidity of the ground around it.
